This is a vintage Gretsch Clipper 6186. This guitar plays and sounds incredible. There are some cosmetic concerns here, but make no error, this child is remarkable! The top 2 tuner posts are bent but work simply fine and there are a couple of nicks in the finish at the top of the head stock. The truss rod cover and pick guard are both new customized pieces produced to Gretch 1961 age specifications. There are a few of the fret pens that have sunken in and 2 were glued. The binding on the guitar is broken throughout, however not going any where. The plastic at the heel is weakened as you can see in the pic. It has actually been glued to stop more splitting. Neck was glued at heel too. Neck is straight and action is very good. There is buckle rash on the back that is not with the surface. The Gretsch trapeze tailpiece looks great. On the bottom of the tailpiece there is corrosion that will probably come off with some brasso. You will certainly likewise discover nicks, dings and scratches throughout the guitar from years of use. For the most part, as you can see, it looks fantastic for its age. Playability is amazing and has that smooth jazzy vintage Gretsch noise. Happy take a look at the images and provide us a call prior to purchasing if you have any additional questions.

The vintage case is a little rough on the outdoors but all the latches work. We believe it is original to the guitar. Does its task simply fine.
